Why Start Living with us?
With Start Living you can enjoy all the flexibility of renting your home, without the drawbacks and restrictions you’d normally expect.
That means you’ll be living in a brand new, high-spec house on a purpose-built development. And we want you to feel empowered to make that house your home. Pets are allowed. You can put up pictures. To really put your stamp on the place you can even paint the rooms – all we ask is you talk through your plans with us first. And if you ever need help, our friendly property management team and a dedicated repair service are on call.
And because we're professional landlords, we're in it for the long haul - so we won't unexpectedly sell up. Think of it as renting, reimagined.
Designed with renters in mind, our bright and spacious 1-4 bed homes are all beautifully finished and well-equipped for modern living.
Below we've showcased some of our standard property specifications, which may vary depending on your chosen home and neighbourhood. To find out more about our locations, visit Find your home page, or Contact us with any questions.
We think UK renters deserve better. Here are just some of the benefits we’ve built in to make your everyday joy-full and hassle-free.
Unlike dealing with some private landlords, our residents know exactly what to expect when they rent with us. No nasty surprises, sudden visits or unexpected fees. Just upfront contracts, expert support and the peace of mind that because we're professional landlords, we're in it for the long term - so you can relax and settle into your Start Living home.
Got cats? Dogs? A tortoise? Three hamsters? Pets are welcome at most of our properties, so you can bring your best friends with you! Check out our Pet Policy for more details. Or if you’re already a resident, get in touch with us to discuss any animal additions to your family and fetch our Pet Application Form.
All our properties come fresh and well-finished, but we know sometimes a house won’t feel like home until you’ve put your own stamp on it. That’s why we allow our residents to set the tone, by decorating their new home. For more details on how you can curate your space, check out our Decoration Policy and send us a completed Alterations Request Form outlining your plans.
All of our homes are well insulated and built to a high standard, with brand new boilers and an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of B. This means you can stay warm and cosy while keeping both your carbon emissions and your energy bills low. Find out more about our sustainability approach.
All our developments have been carefully located for easy access to key amenities, including schools, shops, restaurants and health services. And with local economic centres and transport links on the doorstep, our neighbourhoods are also commuter-friendly, whether you need to drive, bus, train, cycle or walk to work. Check out our locations.
Every house comes with its own driveway or designated parking space, so safe parking is a cinch. No hunting for a nearby space after a long day or a big shop. No hauling luggage (or the family!) about, or trekking back and forth in the rain because you’ve had to park three streets over.
Because we build and manage whole neighbourhoods specifically for renters, that means the people living around you are also likely to be Start Living residents. So if you’re feeling social and fancy making some local connections, we’ll be hosting community events where you can get to know your neighbours.
Our friendly property management team is on hand to help with any questions or problems you might have. They also oversee general maintenance for all our properties and neighbourhoods to keep everything neat, tidy and running smoothly. Get in touch.
All our residents have 24/7 access to their own Start Living portal, where they can find their tenancy documents and useful how to guides for their properties and appliances. Any maintenance requirements can be logged and tracked easily, to get problems sorted as soon as possible. Log in to the portal.
